In today's world no matter your beliefs or religion, we all have heritage and history in common, and unfortunately our history is fading quickly. We take things for granted and life goes by so quickly. There was always an old phrase about life, "Stop and smell the roses." Recently a few years ago losing my father that it had hit close to home. After looking around i realized my fun filled childhood family members were gone or missing and i felt alone in the dark, and that really, I didn't know anything beyond my grandparents. I recently began my research and I saw a quote along my search- "Don't forget the ones who came before, if you do, they will be lost." That struck a heart string for some reason, that I have become determined and dedicated to remembering or to know every family member so that may live on and never be forgotten. And hopefully on day to join in their memories and never to be lost.
