As an adoptee searching for birth family, I was stunned to find some folks providing me with information about my ancestors were volunteers who comb and document cemeteries!! These lovely volunteers provided some much needed information and now I am trying to repay the debt!
I have learned to maintain my own family gravesites, take photos for others, and supply information that may be missing. I have proudly served Find-A-Grave in two countries and four states!
It's a labor of love and respect. If I provided a photo of a gravesite for your family, rest assured I cleaned it up the best I could, and added a small stone in keeping with the Jewish tradition of mourning.
