Hi all!
My sister and I do what we call our yearly 'cemetery tour' around Memorial Day each year. We spend a full day visiting family stones and placing or planting flowers. It's something my Mother had done for many years and after she passed my sister and I took over her tradition. We leave my home around 8:30/9 am (my sister has a 2 hour drive to my home) and we return around 5/5:30pm. It's a full day affair, but one we've come to love and look forward to. We stop at the same spot for lunch every year, just like our Mom had done.
In 2020 I decided I wanted to try clean my great grandmothers stone as i could barely read it (she died in 1937). I did some research and watched a lot of videos and purchased some Wet and Forget and all the supplies I would need. So, in the summer of 2020 I took the hour long car ride and cleaned her stone. When My sister and I returned a year later, I was shocked at the transformation ~ we could now read everything on the stone.
In the summer of 2021 I drove 1 1/2 hours to another old family stone and cleaned that one as well. Again, the transformation was incredible.
I posted a before/after photo on the Wet and Forget website as a testament to how incredible this product worked. It was then that a woman reached out and told me she had updated the Find A Grave website with the 'after' photo. I'd never heard of Find A Grave before so I looked into it and decided that I'd like to be a volunteer photographer…that's how my journey started!

I'm still very new at this, but I enjoy the challenge of locating stones for families that aren't able to visit them in person. To me it's like a scavenger hunt. I'm sure I'll get a system down at some point, but right now I just kind of walk around the section where the stone is supposed to be and keep my fingers crossed that I'll find the stone I'm searching for.

If you'd like me to look for a memorial for you, just send me a message and I will do my best to help you.

Feel free to use any photos that I've taken of your loved ones ~ I'm more than happy to share.

If I've created a memorial of your family member and you'd like to manage it, please request the transfer.
