Bio

Phoenix Fire Department Historic Fire Station 8 is part of the
Phoenix Fire Department (Arizona USA) - International Association of Fire Fighters Local 493 (Phoenix Chapter).
It became operational on 1 July 1942 as a fire station until about 1994. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as our place of research, archives and as a wannabe museum, participating proudly in the Willo Historic Homes District.
In order to ensure preservation of our members' history, we also preserve that of their spouses, parents and children.
