On December 14, 2023, Dutch Hollow Hanger Cemetery was added to the Virginia Landmarks Register by the Virginia Dept. of Historic Resources and Board of Historic Resources. Dutch Hollow Hanger Cemetery is only the second cemetery in Augusta County, Virginia to receive this designation. On March 6, 2024, the cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service. My goal through Find a Grave is to properly manage those memorials in my care and to continue to research and document those that are descendants of people that are buried in Dutch Hollow Hanger Cemetery.
