Kaliko Beamer-Trapp is the adoptive ("hānai") son of the late Aunty Nona Beamer (1923-2008). He lives in Hilo, Hawaiʻi with his family, and is a longtime Hawaiian language and culture specialist and educator, most especially online at ʻŌlelo Online as well as for UH Hilo, Aloha Music Camp, and Mohala Hou Foundation, among others.
