My professional background is higher education and my research interests involve qualitative analysis, organizational dynamics, human development, and social justice, amongst other topics. Recently, I took on a project for my relatives, which involves the history of four groups of families: (1) Cozzoni/Perezzini/Miller/Pace, (2) Cannova/D'Antonio, (3) O'Connor/Sadewater/Bordwell, and (4) Sarna/D'Agostin. The families have lived in New Orleans, Missouri, Northern Illinois, and the Chicago area. Several members of the families likely left Italy due to economic and political issues prompted by Italian unification and the promise of labor in the US. We are especially interested in their stories. I currently live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area.
