My great aunt, Doris Marlett, created in me a passion for family history. I wish she was still alive to see some of the fun things I have been able to uncover with the useful tools now on the internet. I do treasure the stories told to me by my long, gone relatives - and have kept my hand written notes just as reminders.

I do not connect all relatives or post all that I find - some stories are just too tragic. If I wouldn't want my relatives to read or see it, I just think it is better left in the archives.

I love a good obituary, so don't mind those being uploaded. I have been able to make many connections from them.

I could research 24/7...I have to make myself stop. :o)

Since the move to Ancestry and the new website, newspaper obituaries, death certificates and other scanned documentation is allowed. We encourage members to move the images down to the bottom of the photo display so that they are not the first thing you see when viewing a memorial page.
