I was born 04/10/1929 in Dallas, Tx., the 7th child of Gordon Lee Vaughan, Sr.,and Ura Cozy "Pauline" Kerr the parents of 15 children. I attended Sidney Lanier Grade School in West Dallas, then Crosier Tech High School through the junior year when we moved to Duncanville Tx., where I. in my senior year quit school to join the US Marine Corps on 02/05/1948 and remained in the Corps for 30 years, retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. My field was Guided Missiles, performing R&D on the TERRIER, REDEYE and STINGER missile systems. I retired 1976 at White Sands Missile Range and was hired by General Dynamics Missile Division retired from there 01/09/1991 where I began my quest for digging up roots for the VAUGHAN Family. I married Shirley Joan Cruthers 09/23/1950. We had 4 children. Deborah Renee, 09/27/1951, Gordon Paul 04/07/1954. Arthur Charles 06/11/1957 and James Garlan 07/06/1962. My wife of 56 years passed away 01/08/2008, and my daughter Deborah Chapman passed away 02/14/2011 in Utah. I now reside in an Garland. Texas at the age of 85.
