Find a Grave ID

Bio

I been researching my lineage for about 45 years and love helping others with their own quest for ancestry data.

Fav Project: Walnut Grove Cemetery

Currently researching those buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bluefield, Mercer Co WV. Due to its past, it does not have a complete list. The current trustees put what they have online, which is great. A good place to start. I have been compilimg my research results into presentable, searchable self-published books.

Book I are those included on the original list online as presented by the cemetery trustees, but with corrections and genealogical data added.

Book II are the new names that need to be added to the trustee list of those buried there. I am still adding new names, and it might be one of those things that may not ever be quite finished. I am adding names to Find-a-Grave version of W.G.C. as time permits.

Book III is based on the trustee list of those whose grave site have been identified. Some are on a list but not with their grave site identified. Book III is workbook format, as are the first 2 books, with space provided for notes of family members, etc. Each lot can hold 6 graves, judging by what is presented on this list, but some lots only have one or two graves, others no one at all. There are many graves that need their grave sites identified!

Book IV I have just begun compiling, and it is taking the lives of those buried at this cemetery and creating a timeline, resulting in a retelling of history according to their lives and the times they lived in.

I am hoping to find a history lover who would be willing to work with me on this project... Let me know if you are interested!

I will be happy to look up names for free, just ask...
