My paternal family are Magee. Originally from the lowlands of Scotland and following a battle with the Armstrong Clan, the majority of them crossed the water to escape and landed on what they thought was an island and which they called Island Magee. From there they spread throughout the province of Northern Ireland.

Over time, some branches of the family moved back to Scotland including my Father, so I am Scottish by birth.
