The Ruddick cemetery on N Hwy 127 near Garfield, AR was a quiet and peaceful place in the late 70s and 80s. I enjoyed walking there with my Nikon FE camera. It was on one of those occasions that I happened upon a grave in the far back corner, near the trees. The marker simply indicated "Indian Woman". That left a life-long impression on me. There are some who won't be remembered. The photo I snapped that day has been tucked away for years now but I never forgot who is there despite not knowing her name.
