I'm the 3rd generation "Wong" in the USA. I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Both my Grandfathers came to "Gum Shan", also known to many Toishanese from Canton, China as Gold Mountain (many old timers from the 1850's to 1960ish use this term). My Great Grandfather on my mother side first came to America in 1909 (maybe earlier) to San Francisco after the great earthquake and fire. I'm the family historian and love to keep records of my family for the next generation.
