Matthew Robert Hanson, of Forsyth, Georgia, died (date) of (cause), age (age).

He is survived by his wife Heather (Olin) Hanson; his sons Jacob and Brady; his daughter Celia; his father Edwin Hanson, Jr., of Oviedo, Florida; his brother Karl (Kathy LaBotz), of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania; his sister Maura (Alan Christensen), of Orland Park, Illinois; and his brother Mark (Jessica Richards), of Exeter, New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his mother, Karen (Nordberg) Hanson, of Oviedo, Florida.

Matt was born August 19, 1972, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Kittery, Maine. He enjoyed music his entire life and participated in band and chorus in high school in Merrimack, New Hampshire; a cappella choir while earning his History degree at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts; leading worship services overseas and at home; and learning the cello late in life.

Matt served in the military for 26 years, in the U.S. Army, the New Hampshire Army National Guard, and the Georgia Army National Guard, retiring in 2020 as a Chief Warrant Officer Three with 22 years of active duty. Operation NOBLE EAGLE (New Hampshire), Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (Iraq), and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (Afghanistan). Bronze Star Medal.

Married his high school sweetheart, helped her raise three great kids, and lived to please a resurrected Jewish guy he talked to on a daily basis. Romans 10:9; John 3:17.

Family and friends are invited to call at (house or funeral home), (address, city), (date), from (start time to end time). A private funeral service and interment with military honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
