Bio

I have been intrigued with genealogy since 1958 my Granduncle John Watts brought some family information with him when he visited my parents. I was enthralled and my passion continues to this day. Since then, I have accumulated records for more than 10,000 ancestors and am a Mayflower descendant of Tilley, Hurst and Howland. Several of my male ancestors are Rev War veterans, and in fact, many family members fought in every war since 1600's including Vietnam and the Gulf War!

Some family names are ARNOLD, BRITTON, CRAWFORD, CROY, FISKE, GORDON, GORTON, GREENE, PINCKLEY, RHODES, WATTS and WILLIAMS to name just a few. "Bell" is a married name.

I have hit a brick wall with Joseph Watts born in 1781 or 1787 (depending upon source) and who died in 1869. There are no records for his parents, siblings, and although Census records for Butler, Ohio show he was born in New Jersey he married Lydia (Shipman) from Pennsylvania where his older sons were born.

If anyone can assist me, I will send you a case of chocolate kisses!
