My name is Kevin Gillick, Jr. I use this website for genealogy purposes. I can't really search my father's side of the family being that he was involved in a closed adoption. I do, however, research my mother's side, which are primarily cajun/spanish/native american. I am currently stuck on the Deshotel side of the family at which my search stops with Zelian Deshotel (1890-1985). If anyone can help me clarify if his father was Octave Deshotel, this would help immensely.
