As a self confessing taphophile, I love going beyond the cemetery gates and walking among the rows of stones. I seek out the energies and memories of lives gone by that are held there, shrouded heavily in granite and in marble - entombed for ages and ages to come. I find graveyards a peaceful and reflective place. They are full of beautiful works of art; such as sculpture, portraiture, poetry, stained glass and architecture. Stories etched into stone of love, loss, marriages, families, feuds and battles won and lost. Respectfully, I admire them all and thank those that put them there as a testament that they will not be forgotten in life or in death, long beyond their last breaths.
