I recently (August of 2020) started researching my family's genealogy and find it fascinating. Thanks to FAG I have made many connections and have been able to discover new things about my ancestors. I’m planning a fall trip to many of the cemeteries where they are buried.
I was told growing up that I was a related to Abraham Lincoln, I haven’t uncovered that yet but I’ll keep looking! :)

November 2020 Update: The fall tombstone trail was wonderful. I managed to find at least 25 ancestors headstones in the Jay, Delaware, and Randolph county areas of Indiana. I didn’t know much about that side of my family growing up. I have now discovered some very special people, mostly simple farmers, who lead a hard but meaningful life. Through their letters, online information, and photos I have somewhat pieced together their lives and feel more connected than ever and am richer for it.
P.s. oh, and yes I have a VERY distant cousin connection to Ab Lincoln...His Grandfather is my 5th great grandfather.
