I'm from Nauvoo Illinois, currently living across the River just west of Fort Madison. My journey into Genealogy has really broadened in the last few years. I'm currently doing my best to restore and maintain two local pioneer cemeteries. Taken classes on cemetery prevention to help in my endeavor. Working with and researching in our local Historical Societies. Spent a lot of time meeting and visiting with locals about cemeteries and their ancestors. Which is a very enjoyable part of this work and helps immensely in understanding the local history. Was part of the Old Fort Madison group(great bunch of guys and gals) Working as the forts blacksmith and helping tour guide was a great learning experience ,which I will always cherish. Feel free to call or text anytime. Have a great day. Ron Marshall

Families Researching - Marshall, Watts , Isenberger, Tanner, Ewing, Lair, Jones, Wolf,

I believe that memorials should belong to family members and the local community whenever possible. As family and neighbors have a personal interest in honoring their relatives, friends and neighbors. And being closely connected makes it better to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. I transfer all memorials to families, unless im closer related. Simple as that. Ron Marshall

Our first preference would be for the manager to be a relative, someone who knew the person or someone with ties to the cemetery or location. Find a Grave.
