The Mennonite Historical Society of Iowa oversees the Iowa Mennonite Museum and Archives in Kalona, Iowa. The Museum was started in 1972. There are many historical and genealogical books and records here, as well as artifacts. Two cemetery directories have been printed by the museum, one in 1972 and one in 1994. In updating our records since 1994, we've decided to make sure that all of the persons buried in Amish and Mennonite Cemeteries of Iowa, Johnson and Washington Counties are recorded online rather than in a printed book. Several different people are working on this project.
