Since many years now, I try to research informations about one soldier of WWII whose name was William Kington Heeler. He was a soldier from 696th Field Artillery Battalion. He died in Pont-Scorff the 9th of August 1944 with other american soldiers. Lately, during my research a french friend found a list of those soldiers who were killed in the same time. Mayor and people of Pont-Scorff research this list from many years now. They have a project to build a monument in memory of those soldiers. They want to make a ceremony in august 2021 to celebrate those heros. We don't try to ask money for that, we just try to get in touch with families to invite them for the ceremony.
