I try to provide some images and additional information for memorials, using Ancestry and related tools to research.

My information comes from official government records, newspapers, or first hand knowledge from family.

Occasionally, I explore the ancestry of my friends or complete strangers, and may have no relation to some of the memorials I update or manage.

Just send me a message for any transfer request or help. FindAGrave is a community and I wouldn't be on here if it wasn't for all the incredible strangers who have contributed and allowed me to read about their loved ones. If you need help cross-checking information, don't hesitate. Everyone makes mistakes or can get confused with all of the records made available to us today.

Labeling a memorial with the same last name twice - I've seen, although very rarely, examples of users labeling someone who married into the same last name as them having two of the same last name. For example, "Elizabeth Smith Smith." This is an inaccurate way to label a memorial. Refer to https://support.findagrave.com/s/article/Naming-Memorials - "...the maiden name is automatically italicized and traditionally is used if the individual was married and took the spouse's last name as their new last name." Yes, I've had to reference this for users that have had well over ten years on this site. The memorial is labeled incorrectly if the last name appears twice despite having never changed. There are very few memorials on all of FindAGrave that still have this issue of incorrectly giving a person the same last name twice. Contact support if you have anyone who refuses this suggested edit and they will ensure it is corrected and/or transfer the memorial to you if there is a relationship within four generations.
