Bio

I became interested in genealogy when I was about 10 and my grandmothers (both paternal and maternal) regaled me with stories of my illustrious ancestors. Of course, now I know they weren't that illustrious, but I still found them fascinating. Back in those way old days of research, it was more difficult to find information, so a lot of what I collected was anecdotal. Now I'm thankful for that, as it really helps to have those stories to bring the people and times to life. I learned to do gravestone rubbings with my mom, along with the value (and pitfalls) of cemetery data. Find a Grave has become a positive asset in my continuing research.
