I've been fascinated with family history from a young age and began to research it in the days of physically visiting libraries and cemeteries, looking through miles of microfilmed census records, and trading info and photos by snail mail. I've amassed quite a number of photos from my grandparents and great-grandparents. I owe a lot to my great uncle (by marriage) Haskell Roden, who tracked through cemeteries and transcribed the tombstones back in the 1950s-1970s and to my mom, who has the most phenomenal memory for all her family and people she grew up with in Delina, TN! Some of my families are Haislip, Dale, Stone, Adams, Woodard, and Couser. Now that I'm mostly retired (working part-time), I plan to do more cemetery sleuthing to help others locate their family members.
