Bio

My maternal grandmother, Laura Marie (Williams) Bexley was the historian and geneology buff in the family. She researched our family tree the hard way .... way before internet searches and websites were available. She wrote letters to county courthouses, searched books, and made phone calls to develop our family tree, tracing one line back to England in the 1700s.
I have it easier now and am looking up my husband’s family history, recently sparked by a photo I found of his mother’s parents... she had written their names on the back. Now I have seen her ancestors names back to before the Civil War and I’m hooked.
My desire is that our children and grandchildren will know a little more about their history.
I have a lot of old family pictures, thanks to my grandmother, who was also faithful to write their names on the backs ( or sometimes on the picture!)
