Bio

I enjoy working on my family genealogy, almost all of the memorial pages I have are related to my family.

If you would like a memorial transferred, please let me know your lineage to that ancestor and I will gladly transfer it if you are a closer relation.

I use FamilySearch.org as my source for documents; sometimes birth names are different then the names they used in every day life, especially after immigration. For research purposes, I use the birth name and make notes/nicknames if they use another name.

Also, the birth/death dates on gravestones are not always accurate as the information could be relayed by a 2nd or 3rd party. I have found that the 1900 Census information is usually accurate and will generally use that for birth dates and locations (if there are no other sources).

The names I am researching are:
Benz / Bentzen
Braun
Buntrock
Diehl
Dumke
Fourre
Fox / Fuchs
Gercke
Gragert
Grandke
Griffin
Heeg
Hegsdens
Hohenstein
Horn
Huth
Kaatz
Lederach
Lewis
Lippert
Meyer
Mueggenburg
Mueller
Priebe
Ronfanz
Schlutter
Spinnier
Stephan
Stueber
Ullrich
Vetter / Fetter
Wolf
Zangmeister

The most interesting ancestor I have found is that I am a descendent of several Mayflower passengers.

If anyone is researching their Minnesota relatives, I have found very helpful free resources:
Family Search - www.familysearch.org
Minnesota People Records Search - www.mnhs.org/search/people
Minnesota Official Marriage System (MOMS) - https://moms.mn.gov
