Bio

I was born in Loris, SC as Linda Faye Williams, the fourth child of Eugene and Martha Elma Porter Williams. My ancestors on the Porter/Carter/Cox/Cannon/Moore side have been in the US since the 1600's and my paternal ancestors (Williams, Graham/Grainger/ O'Connor in Horry County since before 1750. My family moved to NC in 1954, but we made many trips often to Loris and Conway to visit my parents' large families. In 1990, I began visiting Family Cemeteries and talking to distant relatives who had compiled information about my ancestors. Many have passed on and I am glad that Horry County began listing persons buried in their cemeteries.
