Bio

I have researched information on the Peter Dillow 1795-1870 who had 15 children, 6 by his first wife Pheby Wykoff 1797-1835 and 9 by his second wife Permelia Hunt 18156-1860 and many of their descendants.

When I discovered this site, I was totally unimpressed with it. Just memorials in my family tree with missing links to their other family members and missing information that I researched information by two different Dillow researchers with few, discrepancies like maybe a year off on a date or one having more information about an individual than the other.
Putting the two together, it's a lot of correct information about my Dillow family.

I tried to dismiss this site as just being a junk site like so many others on net. But my mind wouldn't rest. ? What can I do, this is on the net and this is my family.

I found the Suggest Edit button, and it gave me place to suggest changes, and so I started suggestions with information, some were which to respond while others have still not responded to my request to add information.

I got off on a numbered line on the research information. As soon as I saw it in print, I saw my error.

? Now what to do. I had added wrong and misleading information on the memorial. So I went back, said I had made a mistake and ask her to fix my mistake.

Then I realized the trying to fix my mistake wouldn't work. It needed to be deleted and then the right information be added.

And then she said why don't you take the memorial since you are a family member. I started listing my reasons, one by one she said that's no reason.

So I had my first Dillow family memorial to manage. Once she saw my work, I got several more Dillow sites from her and others.

I am up to 85 now. I go back every day and look for typing errors, my tablet changes words it doesn't like to one it likes better.

And look for ways to improve my work for readability in following my numbers------6

I have since been suggesting control of my family memorials to be given to me to add my researched information, like to add my dad's WWII military information.

Many of my request are seemingly just totally ignored, no change and no explanations as to why not

I conclude that if the memorials don't belong to their family member, they just don't work them often.
