I have been researching my family tree for over 20 years, and have discovered ancestors who sailed on the Mayflower, helped found Rhode Island, fought in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and the Civil War, lost a twin brother in Andersonville Prison, moved west via a covered wagon train, arrived at Ellis Island from Bohemia, Denmark, and Germany, and served in both World Wars. I love history, and especially learning about my own ancestors and their own small part of history.
