Hello - My name is Lyle Dingus. I was born in Mound City, Linn County Kansas in 1952. This small town of Mound City had a surprisingly large population with the surname of Dingus. This was the result of Dingus families settling in Linn County a century earlier. As a boy I knew a lot people named Dingus, but did not have a clue of how they were related to me. I am trying to fix that now.
I am interested in the following names from the Linn County Kansas area
Dingus, Paginton, Osborne, Littell, Potter
My cousins Frances Marshall and Mitch Dingus have provided me with a wealth of old family pictures from around 1880 to 1940. I have been trying to add them to appropriate memorial sites.
On my Mother's side I am interested in the following names from in and around Pettis County Missouri.
Ray, Brim, Hoard, Rukes, Pace, Doggett, Shemwell
