Bio

My name is Jenny Temple (born Foltz). I was born in Terre Haute, IN and grew up around that area until I went to college. During my senior year of college while doing my student teaching, I met my husband, Derek. I have lived in Evansville, IN (his hometown) since then (2001). We have three children, Isaac, Grace and Lizzy.

I worked as an elementary teacher for a bit, until I discovered my true passion, early education. I currently work for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation as a birth to three teacher for their Early Learning initiative, Wee Care. I also have a passion for writing and am an avid baker.

Genealogy has been something that I am recently getting into more. It has been so fun to make and share discoveries with my Mom and hear her stories about her family. The past has such a way of bonding the present.

I am also passionate about genealogy because of my Dad. He was always researching and dragging us to cemeteries when my sister, brothers and I were young. He would bring paper and crayons and have us make rubbings of the tombstones. Since he passed in 2018, genealogy is a way for me to feel close to him and learn more about his family.

Some family names on my Dad's side are Foltz, Ferguson, Whitesel, Stroke, Graves, Perkepine, Holdaway, Zollheferin.

Some family names on my Mom's side are Sanquenetti, Swaim, Howell, McCullam, Strong, Eaton, Shreve and Pandolfi.
