Many of my paternal ancestors were from the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow area. Kilmer, Partelow, VanTassel are my closest relatives. The Kilmers' were from the Palatine groups in 1710. Van Tassels trace to Major Jacob (had a large part in the Revolutionary War) 1744-1840 and back to 1625 in America. Almost all of my Paternal side arrived here in the 17th and 18th century.
