Bio

I was born in Oak Harbor, WA while my father, Ken Cadmus, was stationed there during his time in the Navy. After my father separated active duty, we moved closer to family in Moberly, MO. I’ve spent a few years of my childhood there before moving to Florida for the remainder of my youth.

My father passed away 1 year after 9/11. His memories, combined with a strong sense of patriotism, partly prompted my decision to enlist into the military. I joined the Air Force in 2006 and served 10 years on active duty. I’ve served on multiple contingency deployments and a combat tour in Iraq (OIF) which contributed to a fulfilling career as a service member in so many various parts of the world.

Transitioning back to civilian life, I wanted to take more time to focus on myself, my family, and to embrace the more important things in life. This journey led back to tracking more history of my father and to the appreciation I had for him. I eventually found the location of his burial site in Moberly, MO.

I became a member of the Find A Grave community to contribute to his memories and to honor his legacy by keeping his remembrance alive.
