I've been kicking around genealogy for over 20 years, got some things going among my living relatives but so many opportunities lost due to my very busy career as a FileMaker database developer, building custom systems mostly for small businesses. About 3 years ago, I joined Ancestry and have kept up my membership. So now my Ancestry tree has 4000+ people. But my most fun as a FileMaker developer is my own genealogy database built in FileMaker, of course, which has a little over 2,000 people so far. It is designed to augment my online trees and info. It has webviewers of my 2 favorite online sites, Ancestry and FindaGrave. Here on FindaGrave, I'm wanting to learn the ropes so I can update some of my core ancestor FG memorials. I might become the maintainer for some of them like my Mom, Leona Marie Frakes, but afraid I don't know enough to do it well — yet.
