Bio

Retired after 35 years at the telephone company. I have a love of dogs and I really missed having one around, so I decided to open my home to care for other peoples dogs, basically Airbnb for dogs. I have lived in my home for the past 17 years and I have a son and daughter that are grown up and live away from here. I love to travel and I have been many places with many more yet to see. When I turned 50, I decided if I am going to see this world I better get out there and see it. I booked a trek adventure to Egypt and Jordan, had a wonderful time and I have never looked back. I've been to Cuba, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, most of the USA (but not New York), Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Cyprus, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Aruba, Columbia, Costa Rica, Panama, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand (4 times as I love it there) also England, Portugal and Morocco.

Where I live, Edmonton, capital of Canada's Alberta province, sits on the North Saskatchewan River and it is North America's northernmost city with a metropolitan population over one million. Edmonton is a cultural, governmental and educational center. It hosts a year-round slate of festivals, reflected in the nickname "Canada's Festival City". It is home to North America's largest mall, West Edmonton Mall (the world's largest mall from 1981 until 2004) and Fort Edmonton Park, Canada's largest living history museum where the past is recreated with an 1846 fort and themed streets from different times. Edmonton is 4 hours from the beautiful Rocky mountains, where I to go and practice my photography.

I try and walk about 11 km a day especially when I am caring for dogs and I live within a few blocks of two cemeteries Saint Anthony and Mount Pleasant and I have great camera.
