I have a real passion for all things genealogy - I love the exploration, detective work and research entailed in hunting down the next clue, record, story, photograph to add to the collection. To me it's like putting a jigsaw together - trying to find that next interlocking piece of the puzzle that will give me a clearer insight into where I came from.
Graves and cemeteries can be an amazing source of information for those researching their family history. It saddens me to see an unmarked grave - it makes me wonder who was laid to rest there, did they have family that loved them, were they unable to afford a headstone or marker, what were their lives like. I love it when I can give them a name by searching the cemeteries records and adding it to Find A Grave.
I also enjoy helping others with their family history research and so decided that volunteering for Find A Grave was a great place to start. I hope to be able to help many people by fulfilling photo requests wherever and whenever I can. Good luck to everyone.
