Bio

I've always had an interest in my family history, but this grew immensely when my now 16 year old began doing genealogy for a 4-H project. In doing her project she has needed to visit many cemeteries and we have used FindAGrave countless times to assist in her research. It has been a vital tool especially when going out of state on cemetery hunts and I am forever grateful for all the work done by these wonderful volunteers. I have recently begun paying attention to the open requests any time we visit a cemetery and will add as many as possible as we go out. I will always try to add two photos of each grave/headstone; one close enough you can read inscriptions and another further away so you can hopefully see something in the background that could help you to more easily locate the grave should you visit the cemetery. (My family thought I had some sixth sense when we would arrive at some small country cemetery in Kentucky and I would just start walking to the graves of my ancestors-I was just using giant headstones or trees from the background of the photo on here to locate it!) Please reach out if you have any questions or if you have any requests in Putnam or surrounding counties in Indiana.
