Bio

I started my journey into family histories back in 1993, as I was appointed to a position that works and researches old records. I am very fortunate to still be in that position. Between my day job, love of photograph and interest in cemeteries, I found a way to reach back into history, (former member of RAOGK). Hoping to help put missing information and pieces together, making the "----" bigger and be remembered by the living.

Cemeteries are a variety of wonderful, fascinating and overlooked elements. A place of where true fine art can be found in among the rows of headstones. I appreciate the occasional finds of heritage plants, trees and shrubs. Being among the stones there is an immense honor. There is peacefulness, an almost meditative process, as I visit a stone and say their name.

Stones are being lost to the elements, tree roots and vandalism. It is a win-win when you can find AND read the inscription on an older stone. Good photographic documentation is the least invasive and one of the best ways of preserving these family treasures. I am a stickler for details, and cringe at some of the photos that are on FAG. You may copy my headstone photos for your personal use, but sourcing and acknowledgment would be much appreciated (the photographer in me...).

I welcome corrections/additions to memorials I have posted. I will be happy to transfer memorials to those to whom I am not related, and who are direct descendants.

I am honored to have helped in anyway, whether it's a grave photo or to fill in a missing piece of information. Just a quick email "nod... I got it" would be awesome.
