Before the internet (YES there was a time without the WorldWideWeb :) ) we only had stories about our ancestors from those who shared the information with us. Unfortunately, I never knew how much more I should have listened until it was too late to ask the questions. In 1996 (minimal WWW..) a family member had our lineage traced. For the past couple years, I have found additional info and refuted info we accepted as fact. I spend a lot of time searching for documents and graves of my own family and doing my best to help others in their search for theirs. My trees are set to private so I can verify information. I do not want to be responsible for sharing incorrect information. I learned this from my own experiences. I have spent way too much time filtering through incorrect information. Please, message me if you believe I have any information that would help you. I am currently working on Jack/Jacks/Jacque/Jacques lineage. Off and on with Daugherty/Craig/Harness surnames in the East TN area around and after 1800.
