Bio

Hi, I'm Kat. As you would expect, I am a family researcher/genealogist. I have other hobbies too. I work my genealogy when I feel in the mood or moved to find something specific. My primary focus is my mother's side of the family. I can be found on major DNA sites, such as 23andme, My Heritage, and Family Tree (run by the LDS, NO I am not mormon). IF you believe you have a connection to me, we can discuss it, I will share information, but you will not find my information online. I keep mine on my computer through Legacy. I pride myself on making absolutely certain that something fits before I add it, and while I am not great about notating citation sources on my tree itself, I usually have them buried somewhere on my computer. I do this because for me, it is about my journey. I'm not researching for anyone else's benefit, merely my own, and to pass down to my children, should they be interested. So the tediousness of logging every minute detail, can stifle my drive. But I only want facts that prove to be true. IF it isn't guaranteed to be a true fit, then it isn't guaranteed to be part of my story and that doesn't help me in my search for answers. So, therefore, while source citing is not a priority for me, actual proven fact, not mere conjecture, IS.

Names that I am researching:

Maternal: Hockett, Evans, Willard, Goins, Moran, (others yet to be concentrated on)

Paternal: Taylor, Caston, Frazier, Easley, Hughes, (others yet to be concentrated on)

I have photos for some markers for Taylor, Caston, Frazier, Easley, and Hughes. I do not have photos of markers for the maternal side, as I do not live in close enough proximity to obtain them.

I will go out and get photos for anyone needing photos from EBRP and WBRP in Louisiana. I also am willing to get photos from Amite and Pike County MS, when I travel through there.
