Being born and raised in the flatlands of the USA did not make me feel worthy of accomplishing any great deeds. I dreamed of being a nurse and accomplished that goal, married my soul mate, raised my family and started dreaming of retiring. After some mission trips to Eastern Europe, I began to realize more and more that we are living in such a young country and how this country was developed by such an array of nationalities compared to the nearly two thousand year old area I visited. Encouraged by my mother-in-law, I started digging into my family history. I only wish I would have asked more questions of those that have passed on! Anyway, here I am, retired, quilting and connecting families. I found out I am the sixteenth great granddaughter of Sir Thomas Billings, Lord of Rowell from England.
