Bio

I am doing research on the Schandel/Kelhofner families. I am a grandaughter of Michael and Cora Schandel. Cora's maiden name is Kelhoffner, her parents are Joseph(1853) and Ellen Failor (1854) Kelhoffner, her grandparents are David (1833) and Caroline Mowan (1834) Failor.
Both sides of my family have roots in Ohio and some go quite deep, including the Soehnlen family of Superior Dairy.
My daughter and I were in Ohio in early June 2021 and spent four days and many hours, and many more miles, visiting cemeteries tracking down the burial sites of the Schandel, Failor, Soehnlen, Kelhofner(Kelhoffner, Kelhuffner), Blaugh and Royer(Rohr, Roher) families as well as my father's family, mostly under the Kolodziejski name. Wow, we really covered the Canton, Akron, Cleveland, Massillion, Minerva, Carrollton, and down to Steubenville areas.
We were tired, but came home with more names to research and plan to continue our hunt next year for more family members.
