Bio

Sharon and I are very interested in family history and genealogy. We have been working on our family trees for many years. We are also fascinated with abandoned and pioneer cemeteries in our travels. We want the people who have gone before us to be honoured and remembered. We also believe it is important for these long gone individuals to be remembered by their stories and by the lives they lived. So wherever possible, we will investigate who they were and how they fit into their community, so they won't be forgotten for who they were.

I am Past President of Glencoe & District Historical Society. I am pleased that in 2022 our Society initiated a heritage project that resulted in identification signs being placed adjacent to active and abandoned cemeteries in Southwest Middlesex. Without signage many of these old burying sites would be lost forever.

I am a Board Member for Eddie Cemetery, Mosa Township.

We are interested in helping others in their family research.

We endeavour for detail and accuracy. We don't always cite original sources for suggested edits, but we are confident that recommendations are sound.

We are pleased to include original obituaries that honour a loved one's life. If it's appropriate to be on line or in the newspaper, then it's appropriate for inclusion in a FAG Memorial. Privacy however it to be respected with surnames of all living persons to be removed.

Please don't be offended if a recommendation or photo update conflicts with what is in a memorial. The goal is to enrich and enhance the individual data base and to provide additional factual information. It is reasonable that tombstone photos will change over time as ambient conditions such as climate, weathering and staining, photographic techniques and quality will result in the monument and it's surroundings appearing different. We need to record change.

If a family member requests a memorial transfer, deletion or revision, please don't hesitate to ask. We'd be pleased to accommodate your request.
