A Master of Historical Curiosity

Hi there! Welcome to my profile and my family's virtual cemetery!!

I was born August 2, 1974 @ 4:30 a.m. in Wheeler, Texas to Kenneth Wayne Nelson (of Ralls, Texas) and Frances Louise Putman (biological) Weems (adopted by George & Lola Weems of Wheeler, Texas). Kenneth and Frances married on July 14, 1973 in Wheeler. They had me the following August. My siblings are: Ginger Kay, Kenneth Wayne (Oct 1976-Oct 1976), Jason Dewayne, and Mark Allen. There was a miscarriage after Mark about 1984ish. My parents lived in Wheeler, Texas until 1997, when they moved to Little Elm, Texas. Daddy passed away in 2017, and is buried in Wheeler next to my baby brother Kenneth Jr. Mom is currently in a nursing home, and when she passes, she will join them in Wheeler, Texas.

I was raised in Wheeler, Texas. I attended Wheeler ISD until my sophomore year (1978-1990). I attended Allison ISD for a couple of years (1990-1991). Part of my Senior year I attended Allison, but after I became bored with the pace of schooling, I enrolled in a home school program. I graduated several months before either my Wheeler or Allison classmates did in 1992. I then attended the home school version of college for 2 years after that, with interest in fitness & nutrition.

I worked at Sparlin's restaurant in Wheeler until August of 1994. I moved to Ralls, Texas (my dad's hometown) and stayed with my grandmother. I worked odd ball jobs in Lubbock, Texas, and I met and married Shanan Lee Cogburn. We married May 13, 1995 at 1:30 p.m. in Slaton, Texas at the Church of Christ in God building.

Shanan and I share two daughters. Augustina Alexis Arlee Cogubrn was born September 15, 2002; and Braunowynne Belle Breeann Cogburn was born July 27, 2005. Belle passed away March 6, 2009 of asthma and cystic fibrosis complications. After 15 years of marriage, and grieving the loss of our youngest daughter, we divorced on May 3, 2010. It was official in July 2010.

I have worked for Hobby Lobby since October 2011. I worked many odd jobs prior to that, as well as was a stay at home mom to raise the girls, until the divorce. When I'm not working at HL, I spend time with my daughter, our Chihuahua dog, Lucy, and cat, Ty. Of course, I also study my family's history. I collect souvenirs of the past, including the photos, birth certificates, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, military records, census records, newspaper clippings, etc.

I love that find a grave has built this website. It's an honor and privilege to share my family's information on this site with you. Find a grave is factual, fast, easy, and friendly.

Thank you for visiting my virtual cemetery, my beloved family members who have made it to the other side. It honors them. They are greatly missed by those of us still living. My cemetery contains family of both my biological and adopted members, as well as my ex-husband's family (it honors my children).

I promise to continue updating the information, photos, and facts as they become available to me. Thank you for stopping by and saying hello!! Be blessed!!!
