I was raised in Mason, Mason County, Texas. Most of my family is from the area too. We lived not far from the Gooch Cemetery in Mason, so we walked down to the cemetery a lot to check on ancestors. My husband and I visit cemeteries when we are on road trips to pay respects to country music legends and other notables.
