Bio

Lived in Youngstown, Ohio our entire lives. We authored four books on Calvary Cemetery. Books 1 - 2 and 3 are the first sections opened between 1885 and 1908. Volume 4 are the death records for the same time period. This was done under the auspices of The Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. We also published a book on all seven Jewish Cemeteries in Mahoning County. We will eventually be adding them here also.

We are now systematically going section by section lot by lot in the older sections of Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio and publishing them on find a grave. We had read these sections some years ago. We were fortunate enough to have had access to all of Calvary Cemetery records, which allows us to add people without grave markers. Our spellings of last names may differ from Calvary's records because we are using the death certificate spelling.

We also did extensive research into St. Joseph Cemetery in Youngstown. We provided all known records on this cemetery. We also did research into Rose Hill Cemetery in Youngstown, the only records are those found at Calvary Cemetery when the people were moved to Calvary.

All information we provided is taken from the following sources.
Calvary Cemetery Records.
Death Certificates.
Military Records.
Diocese of Youngstown Records
Censuses.
Side note: East Youngstown Ohio became Campbell Ohio in 1926, but we can not post East Youngstown so we used Campbell for everything.

Dates and names may differ from cemetery records because we used death certificates as a final source. We can only insert places Find a Grave allows, counties and empires that no longer exist are not part of the choices we are given. We can only put down what the death certificate says.

We are all human and humans make mistakes. From the vital records, to cemetery workers to us.

If you no longer wish to maintain memorials we will be happy to take them over and maintain them. If you are a family member and wish to take control of a memorial please let us know.

JUST BECAUSE ITS WRITTEN IN STONE
DOESN'T MEAN ITS RIGHT
