I am a native of Jackson County, Michigan, and descended from several of the early settlers in that county, as well as from Eaton County. A few immigrated from Germany in the mid 1800s and from Canada in the early 1900s, but most migrated to Michigan in the early to mid 1800s from New England by way of upper New York State. I have several ancestors who were documented Patriots in the Revolutionary War, am an attorney, and currently reside in Oakland County, Michigan.
