Bio

I inherited an old family photo album from the 1880s, of photos in and around Ashtabula, Ohio and I was determined one day I'd be able to identify at least 50% of the photos so I could share them out to other descendants of these often forgotten turn of the century pioneers, many who had left the Northeast of the U.S. (Vermont, Connecticut) by foot or by oxen drawn wagons (records indicate these wagon trips took 6 weeks or more) or immigrated from England or Germany by ship, settling and carving out a new frontier. This spurred a several years long quest to build, document and substantiate a family tree and grew into a passion for ancestry.
