I have been doing genealogy since 2017, so I am still a beginner compared to many on Find A Grave, but I have seen so many amazing things in this short time. It is such a rewarding adventure! Everyone deserves to be remembered.

I particularly have a soft spot for infants and children who died young and for Civil War Veterans. I was able to locate a letter from an ancestor, who fought for the Union in the Civil War, written three days before his brother died in the upcoming battle he was anticipating. He died later in the war as did a third brother. The third brother's gallant part in his final battle was recorded in The War of the Rebellion Official Records. Reading their stories really brings the war alive to me.
