Bio

Lover of South Dakota history, ancestry, and the quiet tranquility of cemeteries.

I do this for enjoyment. I love to spend some time in the fresh air and usually by myself or with a likeminded friend. I love the history. I love reading the names. I love the hunt for photo requests and relatives. I do it so others can find their friends and family. I do it so people are remembered.

I would rather have someone manage the memorial who is related to the person whether they fit in the Find a Grave transfer guidelines or not. I am not doing this for the stats on Find a Grave. Many memorials I have entered from "mowing the rows" at cemeteries.

I do my best answering emails or suggested edits. I've been criticized in the past by other members who feel I should be researching and accepting the edits I get more often…I do have some physical and mental health problems. I work full time. I have three small kids and a dog. So, if I don't respond to a message or email please try again as I probably missed it or forgot to respond and I wouldn't intentionally do that. I do what I can. Since all Find a Grave members volunteer in their own capacity, it is beneficial to have all different types of volunteers.

I would love to help anyone I can.

Rest In Peace to those who have gone before.
